I had originally imported my resume, but I felt it was a bit too formal for this site. So, instead I decided a general overview of my career seemed more appropriate.
I guess I should start from the beginning. I graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1988. A couple weeks later I got my first advertising job at TBWA. That was a great gig where I met a number of wonderful people and was tossed into the fires of yellow pages ad keylines and all-nighters.
Since then I've worked at the now defunct BHN advertising, the Integer Group in Golden Colorado, and a terrific shop that used to be called Louis London here in St. Louis. I had the opportunity to work on such a wide variety of accounts and pitches. Since then it has become Momentum and just keeps getting bigger. After about 8 years there, I went to work at a small shop called Design Image.
I've worked on a number of great accounts including the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Brown Shoe Company, Miller Brewing Company and the Aids Foundation of St. Louis just to name a few.
I've designed and/or art directed just about every category of print advertising and sales promotion item known. I've done posters, brochures, packaging, print advertising, logos, banners, you name it, I can design and art direct it for you.
Even though, print advertising is a lot of fun, it isn't everything. I also have quite a bit of broadcast and video production experience. I worked on a number of projects for the Saint Louis Art Museum, where we'd produce some pretty good looking :30 second spots and some nice videos for very little money. So I know all about creating good work with small budgets.
I'm proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and most recently Go-Live and can get around the pc environment, if I have to. Although I don't by any means call myself a webmaster just yet, I'm getting the hang of it. So if you need a small site and aren't in a real big hurry for it, let's talk.
I also should mention I have won about a dozen or so Addy's for work I've done over the years. They really don't mean that much but it's nice to win one once in a while. Once, I designed a really huge cake, but you have to ask me about that if you want the full story.
If you'd like a copy of my official resume, just e-mail me and I'd be happy to send you a one.
Thanks for taking the time to look around.
